A new position has been created for a full-time Technical Manager at our incredible Experience Centre on Great Portland Street. This is an ever-evolving space displaying the very latest technologies to create amazing spaces in homes and yachts.
The role will require the applicant to be familiar with lighting, control systems, audio, video and IT at the highest quality. It would suit somebody who enjoys interacting directly with Clients and design teams and can support events and the constant cycle of upgrades. These would be the ideal set of skills any applicant would have.
- Technical skills to enable you to investigate new technologies relating to the Ideaworks scope of interests.
- You should have Crestron programming skills to a reasonably high skill level but you will be supported from the core Crestron Programming team. Lutron and Control4 programming skill would be great too.
- You should have a good understanding of networks; but you will also be supported by the core IT team.
- You should have an unquenchable thirst to explore new technologies. You should be outgoing, sociable and happy to get involved with everything which happens in the space.
- You are both technical and creative.
- At times when there are no meetings booked you can get on with installing new technology into the space, trying out new products, adjusting programs and refining the visitor experience.
- On a daily basis you would be around to support the Sales team with meetings, demonstrations and help guide specifications.
- You are constantly checking all systems are functioning correctly, updating software and all elements of making the space work 100% of the time; right down to the coffee machine.
- As a member of the showroom team, you will be responsible for the space. Part of your role might involve greeting guests, preparing for meetings and events where needed and helping with the day to day, whether that be arranging a delivery, ordering showroom supplies or loading the dishwasher.
The Experience Centre is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with some exceptions for early evening events.
